I called Amir last week and he came straight over to take a look at my rug. He is extremely knowledgeable and gave good advise, he took the rug away for cleaning and delivered it back today looking as good as new just in time for Christmas. This is the second time I have dealt with Amir’s Rug Gallery. As before I was a happy customer. They cleaned two rugs. One rug approximately 70 years old. I trust and respect their advice. The service was wonderful. They picked up and dropped off both rugs. I am very pleased with how they look. I will use them again. That is the best reference you could give. They are also very friendly and respectful.

Professional, honest and friendly Persian rug specialist!

I contacted Amir reguarding a Turkish carpet I purchased 38 years ago, on an excursion from a Greek cruise. He was very knowledgeable about the different regions in Turkey where rug making is done. He gave me a lot of useful information specific to my carpet, including about the materials it is made of. Thank you so much Amir!

I had a rug that was over 100 years old. My grandfather purchased it between 1908 and 1912. When I was a child my brother and I ran our toy trucks and cranes and automobiles on this rug in the fifties. They were all metal toys in those days and the continuous rubbing of those toys on the rug ended up damaging it substantially. I remember my mother scolding me very loudly about that and I felt a deep sense of guilt at the time and every time I looked at that rug ever since. When my parents passed away in the eighties, the old rug stayed with me and I continued to feel that guilt. Wear and tear had gotten the best of my rug. I had no idea if it could be repaired. One day I saw a store Amir rug gallery downtown Oakville. There was a video running at the window showing how rugs were washed and repaired. I entered and met Amir. I told him my story and brought in my rug. Amir identified immediately the rug, its age and its country of origin which I did not know. He showed me that other than the missing thread and the loss of colours, the rug had lost its peripheral finishing borders and was losing its threads at the edges. He laid out a recovery plan for me. He told me that he would first reconstruct the borders all around and then he would wash the rug on both sides and finally reconstitute the colours with permanent dies that would match the colours. He estimated 3 weeks to complete the job and calculated the price, which I thought was fair and reasonable. When Amir called me to pick up the rug, I was overjoyed to see how beautiful a job he had done. I can only highly recommend Amir's rug gallery for all your rug maintenance needs and for purchasing fine rugs from his extensive collection.
